Dua Lipa is a Brit singer/songwriter from London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 after she had signed with Warner Bros Records. It reached the top 3 spot on the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the One I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 track New Rules. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa, who was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on August 22, 1995. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. Additionally, her ancestors are from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa learned to play guitar and sing from her father Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's band Oda. Her father at home continued to play music including his music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. When she was nine, she learned how to sing. Lipa performed Beautiful by Christina Aguilera as well as If I Ain't got You from Alicia Keys on YouTube. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released in august 2015.
